Jo WIllis Shallal's founder has been selected in the final stage of the Women of Cornwall project.
Congratulations!
Jo Willis Shallal's founder and director has been selected to feature on one of the hand painted plates that will be created in the final stage of the Women of Cornwall project.
An advisory panel, selected a diverse group of women, spanning ages and backgrounds, and representing a wide range of careers, activism and volunteering roles.
Details about all the women will remain on the Art Centre Penryn website as part of the project record and for everyone to draw inspiration from.
Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund @heritagefunduk, Women of Cornwall is a collaboration between Art Centre Penryn and Ceramic Artist, Katie Bunnell to create a new collection of 50 ceramic plates highlighting and celebrating significant women of Cornwall. The aim of the project is to gather a diverse group of women, spanning ages and backgrounds, and representing a wide range of careers, activism and volunteering roles.
The next stage of the project will commission an exciting group of fine and ceramic artists to create the plates that will become a permanent public art collection at Art Centre Penryn.
Keep up to date with the project
