Shallal Dance Theatre is our flagship inclusive community dance theatre company.
All work is devised by the company through improvisation and collaboration. We welcome artists from other art forms and we constantly work to widen our opportunities. We create indoor, outdoor and site-specific performances and provide outreach performances upon request.
The Company has performed at: Eden Project, Hall for Cornwall, Falmouth University AMATA Performance Centre, Newlyn Art Gallery, Porthmeor Studios, Falmouth Art Gallery, Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, Penlee House, Acorn Theatre and National Trust Godolphin House.
No experience is necessary to join Shallal Dance Theatre, just a wish to perform, although we recommend first gaining experience in one of our community groups. We don't hold auditions, but suggest four trial weeks. Contact us here to discuss.
Currently Shallal Dance Theatre is open to anyone over the age of 10. Shallal 2 is open to younger performers.

The sessions aren't blended but you can access the work via Dance & Art Zoom on Tuesdays 10.30am - 12.30pm as well as blended community groups and Shallal2.
Date / time: Fridays 9.30am - 3.30pm
9.30am - 12.30pm meeting, warm up, rehearsals
12.30pm - 1.30pm lunch (bring a packed lunch, tea and coffee provided)
1.30pm - 3.30pm art and production
Cost: morning £9 and afternoon £6, or donation
