Clay

In October 2017 Shallal 2 was invited back to Wheal Martyn to perform again after the success of their Beautiful Dirt show in April

The new show Clay, again drew inspiration from clay mining heritage at Wheal Martyn museum. Shallal 2 was joined by dancers from Shallal's Out There dance group in Liskeard as well as young people from Mevagissey School Dance Club, Doubletrees School and St Austell Home Ed Group.

Afterwards Wheal Martyn education officer Gemma Martin said:

We are really excited to see what happens next.  Working with Shallal has been fantastic, we will certainly be planning more dance for the future here at Wheal Martyn.

Three people are dancing in an indoor space. One is crouching with their arms forward gesturing. They all have bare feet and are wearing blue-ish grey linen clothing. The room is well lit with natural light.
