This comprehensive retrospective brought together the many cross-art aspects of the project including Godolphin film ‘The Duchess and the Doll’ made with film-maker Barbara Santi, with company members in acting and co-directing roles, artwork in many mediums and behind-the-scenes portrait photography by Steve Tanner.
The book of photographs 'Celebrating Heritage: Shallal Dance Theatre' takes the reader through the creative process that resulted in the two shows, including the wealth of artworks that were made as part of the research and devising process that brought 'Cornish Doorways' and 'Ladders and Footprints' into being.
Company members performed poetry, music and dance from the project at the book launch event.
